Getting started

Start with one archive, a few familiar controls, and access you choose.

ezarchive is a native archive workspace for macOS 26 or later. It lets you browse and preview files, extract what you need, and create archives on your Mac.

Your first archive

  1. Open ezarchive. The introduction explains local file access; you can skip it and return to file access settings later.
  2. Choose an archive with the native Open dialog, or drag a supported archive from Finder into the app.
  3. Select the archive in the sidebar. Open folders to browse its contents, or search by name.
  4. Select a file to inspect its details. Use Quick Look for supported previews, or extract the files to a folder you choose.

Selecting a file gives the app access to that item. There is no need to grant Full Disk Access or Accessibility permission to get started.
